Accurate measurement is the difference between a window that fits perfectly and one that doesn't. Here's how it works and why we always measure on site.
A made-to-order window is built to the opening's exact dimensions. A small error becomes a poor fit — gaps, drafts, or a unit that won't seat. That's why measuring is a job for care, not guesswork.
Older openings especially are seldom truly square or level. A proper measure checks width and height at multiple points and accounts for any out-of-square, so the finished unit fits the real opening, not an idealised one.
Rather than ask you to measure, we send our own team — the same people who'll build and fit the unit. That removes the risk of a mismeasure and means the responsibility for a correct fit stays with us.
You can for a rough idea, but for a made-to-order unit we measure on site ourselves — openings are rarely perfectly square, and a small error means a poor fit.
Because the unit is built to exact dimensions. Measuring at multiple points and accounting for out-of-square openings ensures a proper fit.
