uPVC Sliding Doors

Floor-to-ceiling panels that glide along a track.

What it is

In plain terms

A uPVC sliding door is a floor-to-ceiling glazed door whose panels glide along a track. It connects a room to a balcony, terrace or garden with a large glass area and no swing into the space.

Where it suits

Best used for

  • Living rooms opening to a balcony or terrace
  • Garden and patio access with a wide glass view
  • Spaces where a swinging door would intrude
  • Openings where light and connection to outside matter
Construction

How it is built

  • Floor-to-ceiling panels on a bottom track with rollers
  • Reinforced multi-chamber uPVC profile for door sizes
  • Interlock and weatherstripping against rain and dust
  • Slim lever handle with a secure lock
  • Single or double glazing for noise and heat
Questions

Common buyer questions

How big can a sliding door be?

Large — it is one of the better options for wide openings. We size the profile and rollers to the panel weight after measuring.

Does it seal against monsoon rain?

The interlock and weatherstripping are made to close the gaps. Correct manufacture and fitting matter, which is why we build to size.

Is it secure?

It uses a locking lever engineered for door panels. We will go through the hardware options.

Can the floor track be low-profile?

We will discuss track and threshold options for your floor at measurement.

Single or double glazing for a door?

Double glazing helps where there is road noise or strong sun. We will advise for the aspect.
