uPVC Casement Window Installation

Casement windows hinge and seal against the frame, so proper installation is key to their tight seal. Here's how we fit them.

How it works

Casement windows rely on being seated true so the hinged sash closes flush against the gaskets. That makes accurate fitting especially important for their sealing.

The steps

1
Old window removed cleanly
2
Opening checked and prepared
3
New casement frame seated true and square
4
Fixed securely into the structure
5
Sealed all around against weather
6
Hinges and locks adjusted; sash tested

Why it matters

A casement's tight seal depends on the frame being true and the hardware adjusted — which is why we fit to a standard with our own team.

Questions

Frequently asked

How are uPVC casement windows installed?

The old window is removed, the opening prepared, the new frame seated true and square, fixed securely, sealed all around, and the hinges and locks adjusted before testing the sash.

Why does true seating matter for casements?

Because the hinged sash must close flush against the gaskets to seal — an out-of-true frame won't seal properly.

Who fits them?
