Our uPVC Site Measurement Process

Accurate measurement is where a made-to-measure window begins. Here's how we measure.

How it works

We measure each opening on site ourselves — the same team that will make and fit the window — so the dimensions are right and the responsibility for a correct fit stays with us.

The steps

1
Our team visits your site
2
Each opening is measured at multiple points
3
Any out-of-square is accounted for
4
Style and glass are discussed per opening
5
Measurements feed straight into fabrication

What this means for you

Measuring on site ourselves removes the risk of a mismeasure and means the window is built to the real opening, not an idealised one.

Questions

Frequently asked

How does Glassterr measure for uPVC windows?

Our own team measures each opening on site at multiple points, accounts for any out-of-square, and discusses style and glass per opening.

Why measure on site rather than have me do it?

To remove the risk of a mismeasure and keep responsibility for a correct fit with us.

Does measurement feed into making?

Yes — measurements go straight into fabrication, so the window is built to the real opening.
