uPVC Window Maintenance: A Simple Guide

One of uPVC's biggest draws is how little it asks of you. Here's the entire maintenance routine — it really is this short.

Cleaning the frames

A wipe with mild soapy water and a soft cloth keeps frames looking new. No painting, no sealing, no special products — uPVC doesn't need them.

Tracks and hardware

Keep slider tracks free of grit so the sashes glide smoothly, and occasionally check that locks and handles operate freely. A little care here keeps the hardware running for years.

Gaskets and drainage

Wipe the gaskets when you clean, and make sure drainage holes in the frame aren't blocked, so water clears properly in the monsoon. That's the whole routine.
