uPVC Window Colour and Finish Options

uPVC isn't just white anymore. Here's an honest guide to colour and finish choices, and what lasts.

The main options

Look for this

  • Classic white — timeless, hides nothing
  • Woodgrain finishes — timber look, no upkeep
  • Anthracite grey and black — modern, popular
  • Solid colours that hold without repainting
  • Dual colour — different inside and out

The fade question

Dark and coloured finishes absorb more UV, so finish quality matters — a quality UV-stable finish holds its colour in strong sun; a cheap one fades. Worth asking about specifically if you're going dark.

Woodgrain, honestly

Modern woodgrain finishes replicate texture, not just printed colour — closer to real timber than most expect, and they still look that way in fifteen years without painting.
